I learned something interesting today. I’m not sure about you guys but I have never seat down with my parent’s talks about their relationship.

How they met, why they like each other and the hardship they gone through to be together.

I was with my aunt (I suppose) she was the fifth in the family and she happen to be with my dad a lot when they were young.

“He (my dad) brought me to the place where your mom work and quietly from a far pointing at the window across the road and ask for my opinion” My aunt laughs remembering the funny time.

“What you think?” My father asks Aunt

“I don’t know! It’s your choice” Aunt replied to father.

My aunt told me my dad is a stubborn person and most of all he hates lazy women. She remembers seeing my dad breaking up with his ex girlfriend for the reason the girlfriend refused to make coffees.

“One day your dad ask the girl make coffee but the girl refused instead she shouted back your father to do it himself!” recall aunt

“Just like that, your dad breaking up with her!” aunt said.

Now I know where I got my stubbornness from LMAO

Guys I think I will have to take some blog leave (LOL) for one or two weeks. Nothing come out my head is jong-able.

I’m doing my office renovation for the pass 2 weeks and we are set to move in by 1st April. Why so freaking tired? because I want to keep the cost low, we do the renovation ourselves.

Shifting doors and walls with my own bare hands, fasten the nuts and bolts and feeling the threaded holes(?) does makes the experience an unforgettable journey. Actually I use the electric tool so, no sweat! LOL

Everything seem so easy because my father-in-law was a skilled carpenter so we just do what he says and we took about 12hours of two sunday to finish the 80% job.

My experience with the labor works when I was young seem to enhanced the work flow and the knowledge is extremely helpful.

The balance of works now would be the painting and furnitures which I would be going out for shopping later.

And also I have cancelled off my internet line at home and I only make use of my old and dull Blackberry for light surfing.

I know right, it’s hard to believe a person like me who can’t live without internet could possibly cancel off the internet service.

I was given a free card recently by Citibank and for a while there I thought to myself wow it’s time of the year a free reminder to do your shopping.

It’s good isn’t it to live in a world where almost everything are preplanned for you from a company that never sleep to delight you. It’s almost perfect.

Ironically on the same week Maybank doubled my credit limit!

The truth about banking is that they will not happy until they make sure they gives the “best service” to their customers that is to pushes more credit out the door to their valued customers to “enjoy”.

Citibank however promises an attractive cash back on the petrol. 5% or RM30 max cash back whichever higher monthly. So basically if you spend RM600 a month for the next 12 months you literally save up RM360 per year. Not too shabby.

Cash rebate saving 0.3% to 5%

I do not response to such offer normally but increase of petrol 3 times a month makes me rethink.

So what’s the catch? Soon as you activate the card your bonus points you have been accumulated for many years would be write off. It’s savvy to say that you should redeemed the points before you do your activation. In my case the activation also means upgrade from gold to platinum card.

The card is also free from annual fees charges for a year and chargeable at RM195 upon renewal. I was assured with the employee’s verbal promise of fees waiver by calling in next year.

I read these fine prints and it’s quite interesting. Retails Protection Plan, Lifestyle Privileges and healthcare. I am interested with the One Complimentary Blood Cholesterol check provided by KPJ. The 30% discount on Executive Screening is very generous.

Using credit cards is more of an excuses rather than a real deal. You get more debts rather than saving. What the bank perceived as a benefits and perks are actually means more way for people to have a reason to owe the bank and in returns the bank earn its “rightful” income in rendering the service.

At the end of the day it’s really come down to the discipline of the consumer themselves. If you’re familiar with pawnshops ghost story, credit card is the closer connection between exchanging your soul and things you want in life.

Got my wedding photos and things are hot and running. The date is drawing closer and the heat just almost hit through the roof of my skull. It’s terrible thing to put it that way, The pressure is on! hahaha

Grumpy Face
I am not so sure what drug they took last night but their face are sure as hell need a make over this morning!

No Manners
I specific want to touch on people who do not know how to reply when people greet them “Good Morning!” I greeted a lady boss this morning and the reply was “um”!

The right way to do it is, “Hey Hello! You look great today. How was your weekend?” with a SMILE.

Lack of Humor
Like many of you, I am in sales line. You need motivation to move the mountain on a daily basis. You would listen to a motivation recording or you can turn on a funny DJ on the radio to make you SMILE and feeling good for today.

The last thing you want to hear on earth is definitely not someone starting to insult the radio channel you listen to and tell you that these DJ’s annoying!

Tantrum
You know there are some people who had this temper tantrum problem? These people seriously need to listen to MC Hammer “can’t touch this” to dance and be cool and chill!

I pity some people have to go through this on a daily basis. I am sure you’re actually silently holding your breath under the water so that you will not do anything silly. Especially if that person was related to someone you love?

I said this before and I said it again. To me, the younger generation these day have forgotten their manners. They forgot to respect the elders and the seniors around them.

I remember when I was young, I accidentally splashed the water at my grandfather after I clean my hand. He was so mad that I didn’t apologies to him. I got scolded by my grandmother and he(grandfather) ignore me for whole day until I apologies to him. I was 4 or 5 years old and I remember the incident as a life lesson, respect your elders and senior people!

Basically, You can’t go around and throw your tantrum at anybody as you go, as you like. To show who’s the boss?

Until you learn how to respect others, You won’t know how to respect yourself! You will keep on doing something that will destroy your own image for the rest of your life.

I don’t understand there’s still lot of people being so selfish with their Thank You! Say Thank You all the times, at all times even on a bad times! People will thank you for that!

My Thought
We are not perfect! (Even Steve Job’s admit iPhone 4 is not perfect and all the smart phone in the world is not perfect! Okay, that’s beside the point)

The point is We Can Make others Happy to Make Ourselves Happy!

If you have an issues and the issues is not about life and death, you can always wear a SMILE on your face and it will make your day.

Lastly, You Need to Believe in Something to Make Something Work Positively.

I have talking about planting bamboo seed the whole morning.

The business that I am in right now are really stressing me out and with no income coming in from this business is adding salt to the wound.

I received this email from Bob yesterday afternoon and it give me the motivation boost and I like to share it with all of you if you are feeling down at the moment. Whatever you’re doing now, don’t give up!

Don’t give up….. One day I decided to quit.
I quit my job, my relationship, my spirituality. .. I wanted to quit my life.
I went to the woods to have one last talk with God.
“God”, I asked, “Can you give me one good reason not to quit?”
His answer surprised me…
“Look around”, He said. “Do you see the fern and the bamboo?”
“Yes”, I replied.
“When I planted the fern and the bamboo seeds, I took very good care of them.
I gave them light.
I gave them water.
The fern quickly grew from the earth.
Its brilliant green covered the floor.
Yet nothing came from the bamboo seed. But I did not quit on the bamboo.
In the second year the Fern grew more vibrant and plentiful.
And again, nothing came from the bamboo seed. But I did not quit on the bamboo. He said.
“In year three there was still nothing from the bamboo seed.
But I would not quit.
In year four, again, there was nothing from the bamboo seed. I would
not quit.” He said.
“Then in the fifth year a tiny sprout emerged from the earth. Compared
to the fern it was seemingly small and insignificant. ..But just 6
months later the bamboo rose to over 100 feet tall.
It had spent the five years growing roots. Those roots made it strong and gave it what it needed to survive.
I would not give any of my creations a challenge it could not handle.”
He asked me. “Did you know, my child, that all this time you have been struggling, you have actually been growing roots”.
“I would not quit on the bamboo.
I will never quit on you.”
“Don’t compare yourself to others.”
He said.
“The bamboo had a different Purpose than the fern.
Yet they both make the forest beautiful.”
“Your time will come”, God said to me.
“You will rise high”
“How high should I rise?”
I asked.
“How high will the bamboo rise?” He asked in return.
“As high as it can?” I questioned.
“Yes.” He said, “Give me glory

by rising as high as you can.”
I left the forest and brought back this story.

I did not celebrate my birthday this year and the year before and the year before and the… I have never celebrated my birthday in a special way.

My mum use to boiled 2 red eggs with a fried chicken wing or drum for me every year when I was small. As I grew up, I guess I work too hard and travel too hard that the yearly ritual with red eggs stop for 13 years! I requested my mom to do it for me this year and I am grateful my mom still able to do that for me.

I like to thank all my friends and family who wishes me on my birthday. Only one word to describe you guys, AWESOME!

For the first time, I wrote this blog in a hospital. My mom in law was in a hospital. Having a whole room for her seem to help her a little bit on stress.

Anyway, I did some thinking about

My Blog

1. MKL was doing a blog roundup for year 2009 and I think that’s cool! To check and balance and plan ahead for the New Year is what we need even in blogging.
2. I may need to reroute my blogging direction, maybe write sex story (Kidding Mmmkay). I find it funny to categorize some of my posts as “about me” I thought that way would explain who the hell I am? Do I need an “About Me” page? Who the hell cares? Do you? hahahaha
3. I need to redo my Blogrolling, the one that MKL do is fantastic! He slaps my handsome face on his blogroll and I feel good! I hope more girls message me their contacts
4. I update my blog lesser than I use to, I simply couldn’t manage myself. I left home @7.30am and reach home by 8pm daily. I respect Speedycat @Hollydale for 2 reasons. One, he is triple busy than me but he wrote 1 post a day without fail! Two, he still manage to visit my blog and comment on it without fail! I love you man! I wish you were a girl! I would make you my girlfriend! No? hahahaha
5. I am thinking to do mobile phones review next year. I am not sure why most people would just come up to me and ask me about phone. I guess they trust my judgments. So I’ll try to do it next year.
6. I like to thank my best friends for sticking with me through up and down this year. Thank you for helping me to get through my darkest year! Thank you for your constant encouragement Speedycat, Daisy, and Kim.

My life

1. 2009 has been a difficult year for me. I’ve lost my 6 years job in a bank and I think it probably the best thing that ever happen in my life. The stress is beautifully excruciating!
2. Here’s interesting part, I taught my sis and my mom how to do insulin injection! I have always been phobia with needle but being an elder’s in the family, I have no choice. (Thought to post the video but need some time to edit)
3. I learn how to read glucose level as well, again I just need to perform a fast needle poking and measure the blood on a meter, which is easy!
4. I am now well verse with hospital. I seem to know more about the hospital than banking line already!
5. Makes me think, I should be a doctor! All the beautiful nurses will be my girl friend.
6. I felt sick more often this year compare to my whole life records. I use to be very strong but this year my body aching so bad that I have to see western doctor and a Chinese physician.
7. So I learn that, stress, upset of losing job, some one sick in the family can make a healthy individual become physically sick as well.
8. I ask more questions about health to Silvy more than a server related problem this year. My big thank you to you XOXO hug hug.
9. I have attended at least 4 weddings and a baby full moon dinner this year! My friends ask me when would be my turn? I think that’s another stressful question.
10. I don’t think I am expressing myself very well here but I think the important thing in my life is like what Steve Jobs said, connecting the dots! I hope what I have done for the pass 10 years would eventually shape my destiny.
